The 11 species of brightly coloured and velvety Kangaroo Paw species are endemic to Western Australia. 'Hands' of clasping, finger-like buds resembling the furry paws and curved nails of kangaroos have given these unique plants their name.
My depiction of the red Kangaroo Paw (Anigozanthos rufus) was drawn and painted in gouache from a specimen planted in my farmhouse garden.

Professionally printed on museum grade fine art paper using archival inks.
Size : 30cm x 45cm / 12in x 18in
